HANNAH
I have really enjoyed my time at Pascal Crescent with Julie as my landlady. Julie is a landlady who takes great care in looking after the property and also her tenants. Julie will interview prospective tenants to make sure that they are a good fit for the existing household and is invested in making tenants feel at home. Julie is friendly, fair and easy to communicate with, and keeps on top of the condition of the house and any preventative maintenance. The house at Pascal Crescent itself is in a lovely pocket in Shinfield with friendly neighbours and a safe atmosphere. In terms of layout the shared living spaces are open and a good size, the shared backyard is a great space especially in summer months. The bedrooms and bathrooms are also a decent size, and there is plenty of storage space in the garage. There is a large shopping centre a 10 minute drive from the house and smaller shops within a 15 minute walk – including a local cafe. The Shinfield Arms is also a lovely local pub restaurant just 10 minutes walk down the road. Overall it's been a great place to live for the past 18 months!

My time at Sackville has been wonderful. It's a friendly house in a great location, exactly as Julie had described it to me before moving in.
Julie ensures we're part of the process when looking at new tenants for the house which is hugely reassuring on the rare occasions that a housemate moves on. She responds to all the trivial problems a house may have, such as faulty door handles, quickly to ensure the house stays great to live in.
I'd have no hesitation recommending her as a landlord. I feel well looked after as a tenant.
RORY
I have rented off Julie for the past year and I can wholeheartedly say that she has been the best landlady I have ever had, if there are ever any issues she is incredibly fast to respond and is always easy to reach. Julie is really good at finding the right person for each tenancy and makes sure that everyone in the house will get along with each other before anyone moves in, this made moving to Reading on my own a lot easier as everyone in the house was friendly and welcoming.
JAMES
When I moved from Ireland to the UK I ended originally up in a house where I really was not happy. I was determined to find a better quality place to live and that is exactly what I found at Pascal Crescent. Julie is honestly the best landlady I have ever had. She set a really high standard both for the house and the tenants. I could not have been happier

I have enjoyed my two and a half years at William Street. The house is nice and in a great location close to the town centre and train station. Julis is an attentive landlady who makes effort to bring in housemates who will get along, this leads to a good atmosphere in the house :-)
ADAM
I have been at Sackville Street for a year now and have loved every second. I came to Reading not knowing anyone but the housemates were all extremely welcoming and friendly. We tend to do movie nights, we cook together or we'll do BBQ's with ex-housemates in the summer. I think the best bit is the location, as we are right in the town centre, and couldn't be close to the train station if we tried. Julie is always one message away and quick to respond if there are any issues - which is rare. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a sociable houseshare in the centre of town!
RACHEL
I have been at William Street for a year now. It has been great and everyone is very friendly. The location is great and Julie is quick at sorting any issues.
MICHAEL
I have lived in Pascal Crescent for just about a year now and hopefully going into a 2nd year. The area is peaceful and the house is top of the line with a spacious living room and kitchen as well as a Garden for more social areas. The house is equipped with all necessities to make you feel at home right away! Everyone in the house is super friendly and approachable. Julie selects suitable houemates to live in the household. She treats everyone with respect and gets all the maintenance done super quickly, which makes her the best landlord I've ever had!
JAFFERY
I lived in one of Julie's houses in Reading for a year and a half and my experience there was nothing short of lovely. The house was at an ideal location and the furnishing was perfect. The housemates I shared with were amazing as well and that combined with Julie always being welcoming and there for us turned it from a house to a place I would call Home. I definitely recommend Julie's house shares!
WILL
Something Julie prides herself in is making sure her tenants under one roof are a good fit for each other. I have lived at William Street for a year now and I can truly say the people I live with are some of my closest friends. Being from out of town, it’s been great getting to explore Reading and all it has to offer with some good friends. Julie has also been excellent whenever it comes to fixing any issues – often within minutes of reporting, she’ll have arranged any necessary repairs. Julie is highly professional and goes above and beyond her responsibilities as a landlord.

I've really enjoyed my time at 30 Pascal - it's made my first year at Reading so easy and very enjoyable! I couldn't believe how quickly I settled in. Thanks for being such a lovely landlady, you've been very quick to solve any issues all year and always very professional. I'm sad to leave 30P its felt like home the last few months but onto pastures new! I'll be sure to keep in contact with the others and wish you and all the others well!

I stayed in Julie's beautiful home for a year, and had a fantastic time. The house itself is extremely clean and well-kept, and is in a quiet, residential part of Reading. The atmosphere in the house is always great and everyone gets along (in large part due to Julie's bespoke approach to finding a tenant that will fit the mould of the home). I frequently cooked and watched films with the other housemates, and when I wanted time to myself, I could seek sanctuary in my room. Having such a large communal living room and kitchen compared to many other houses is really beneficial, and the garden is a lovely spot in which to chill out and relax, or even have a few summer BBQs. As a landlady, Julie is very proactive at dealing with any issues that arise, and resolves them quickly. She keeps us well informed and is very good with her safety checks! To conclude, I just want to thank Julie for making my year-long experience living in Reading
UMAIR
I lived at 30 Pascal for one year and it was my best shared house experience. The house has spacious rooms, a dedicated first floor for living area and kitchen. The garden is great for BBQs and fresh air. We sometimes worked out in that space together.
On top Julie is an amazing host. She takes extremely good care of tenants and keeps the house in perfect conditions. She also selects the right people to live in the house.
Unfortunately, I had to leave because I bought my own flat in town.
I highly recommend this house and host!
MIGUEL
I have had the pleasure to live at this house in Sackville Street for nearly two years. The only reason of my depart from my lovely room is my new opportunity abroad, otherwise I'd stay here for as long as I could with no hesitation.
The environment in the house in general is great, always with full of energy people, nice to hang around with and people who you know they'll become your friends.
Regarding Julie and her management I have no word to describe how professional and on point she is. She knows exactly what she is doing. She is a caring person and understands with sympathy all the worries their tenants might have. Definitely, a woman dedicated to her job that will make your stay as pleasaant as possible.
If I were to have to say only one thing about the house is its excellent location and the tranquility of the area.
I'm very sad to have to say goodbye to my room but, especially the housemates and the room.
A hidden gem in the heart of Reading not to be missed!
EDWARD
I have lived at Pascal Crescent (ii) for nearly two years now, and renting it from Julie far exceeded my expectations when I was looking to move to Reading. The house is a great place to live, fully kitted with all the amenities to make it feel like a "home", such as a garden, barbecue, garage, open-plan kitchen/living room and really nice bedrooms. Julie fully checks and interviews new tenants as well to make sure they're a good fit with the other housemates - resulting in housemates that immediately become good friends.
As a Landlord, Julie is quite simply the best I've ever rented from. Julie is very attentive to house-checks such as alarms, and is immediate in her response on the rare occasion that there is a repair needed. On one occasion, with a faulty boiler and a visitation estimate of over 2 weeks from British Gas, Julie asked around her network and saw to the boiler being fixed in 1 day. With this level of support, as a Landlord, the bar has well and truly been set! I cannot recommend highly enough Julie and Pearl Room Lets if you are looking to move to Reading or Shinfield.
SUFYAN
I lived in Pascal Crescent (i) for a year having moved to Reading for work. I had never been to Reading before and did not know the area or anyone there. The house itself was very pleasant and comfortable and the area is quiet and parking is very easy. Not to mention Julie solves any issues as soon as possible and I never encountered any problems there. However, the best part about the house is definitely the housemates. Julie is very careful whom she picks to be her tenants and I always got along really well with my housemates. They were the first people I met when I moved to Reading and were very welcoming and made me feel at home. I think it's safe to say my memories of my time here will never be forgotten.
MARCO I stayed at the room on the ground floor of Pascal Crescent (i) for neary 2 years. I found a job to work elsewhere, otherwise I would have stayed there more time. I really enjoyed the cosy house, especially the lounge and the kitchen with all its amenities and tools, the company of the nice flatmates, my fresh room and the extra space given by the garage and the garden. I highly recommend the place.
CHARLOTTE
I lived in Sackville Street for a year and a half. I loved my time there. I felt very at home. It is a social house so never a dull moment. I was lucky to have extremely lovely housemates, who I still see now. I recommend this room for anyone looking for a house share where you never feel lonely! Julie is a great landlady, fixing problems quickly when they arise, and ensuring the safety and upkeep of the house.
LYNDSEY
Julie has always been a great landlady fixing things very quickly and doing the regular health and safety checks. Sackville is a great house. Fantastic location, great size rooms and I've always felt safe. We have been very sociable tenants that have made the house a home. Late night chats with beer.....movie nights with pizza or trips out in town. I have really enjoyed my time at Sackville its definitely been my favorite house share.
DECLAN
I was at Pascal Crescent for 12 months, and enjoyed my time there. The house itself is lovely, with Julie redecorating during my time there to keep it fresh and homely. It is within easy travelling distance to the center of Reading, as well as being right by the M4 which made it ideal for my commute.
The house is clean with plenty of communal room, including the garden which is ideal during the summer, as it captures the sun in the evenings.
Julie is great at selecting tenants, and I got on well with each of the other tenants during my time in the house. She is picky, and takes into consideration your opinion on the people she shows round; if you don’t believe they are suitable then she won’t offer them the room (although we often came to the same opinion!). She’s easy to get a hold off, and quickly sorted out any issues that arose.
TOMO
Well William Street has been my home for over 11 years and I’m just about to bid goodbye to it. It has been a great place to live and can only be described as having been a “home” tenants have come and gone over that time but not particularly frequently as most have stayed for long periods of time. Julie has been a very good land lady during my time in the house, if there was a problem she got it sorted if I couldn’t and was always open to suggestions or improvements around the house and garden. It’s always been a very inviting place to live and was well regarded as the social hotspot amongst our extended friendship groups. I will miss this place and hope whoever takes on my room has as an enjoyable time there as I did!
DAV
I lived at Pascal Crescent for 2 years. It is a great house in a lovely residential area in Reading. The location is perfect for commuting as it is very close to the M4 and also easy to get into central Reading.
Julie is a great landlady who is always easy to get in touch with and happy to help out in case of any issues. She also takes care when picking the right kind of people to share a home - the housemates I lived with were great and we all got along very well with one another.
I'd highly recommend Pascal Crescent as a home to rent.
Thanks again Julie,
CALUM
I really enjoyed my two years living at Pascal Crescent. Having lived in Reading for the last five years this was easily the best house share I have seen, and I would have happily stayed if not for a new job. The house is in a quiet location with easy access into the centre of Reading or anywhere along the M4 corridor. It is very well looked after with a great communal space to spend evenings and weekends socialising with housemates. We also enjoyed many BBQs together over the summer and evenings in the pub during the winter. Julie does a great job selecting new tenants, ensuring a suitable match with the current housemates. The guys I lived with have become good friends and I'll keep in touch with them in the future. Julie is very attentive to any maintenance issues that may arise, this is evident from the high quality of the house.
I highly recommend renting with Julie, she provides comfortable homes at great value for money.
Thank you Julie for the last two years. I have really enjoyed living at 30 Pascal Crescent, you do a very great job making a comfortable home for all of your tenants. I will be happy to recommend you to my friends and you will be my first call if I’m in search of a room in Reading in the future.
NICK
I only lived at William Street for a year but I've had an amazing time. The house is in a great location just 10 minutes away from central Reading and the station and has great living spaces inside and out. I have got on so well with my housemates who have made me feel very welcome and introduced me to lots of new people. It makes a huge difference to a house being able to come back and watch TV together or go out and do things on the weekend. Moving to Reading and knowing absolutely no one this house was perfect for me and will be for anyone else who wants more than just a place to sleep.
Julie is a great landlord who gets things fixed quickly and is very easy to get in contact with should you need her. She's always on top of her duties and gives plenty of warning before she comes over. She also really listens to the house's opinion on potential new housemates and is happy to wait for someone who is a great fit.
KATIE
I have lived at Sackville Street for 4 and a half incredibly happy years. Sackville for me wasn't just a house to rent, it was a home where I have made some incredible friends for life.
Sackville itself is in an amazing location, just a 6 minute walk from the front door to being on the station platform (trust me I timed it!), 3 minutes to a local supermarket and 5 minutes to the heart of town. Everything is easy walking distance.
The house is easy to keep clean and tidy and there's plenty of space for everyone to hang out together in the lounge, dining room or the garden in the summer. Sackville has always been a very social house - we've had many lovely dinner parties and BBQ parties over the years! Equally, the rooms are spacious enough to have a quiet chilled out night in too.
Julie, the landord, has been truly wonderful from the word go. She takes great care in her selection of housemates to ensure there is a good dynamic and positive atmosphere in the house, and takes the views of the current tenants into account when choosing anyone for a vacant room. If something breaks in the house she's swift to fix it and will ensure plenty of notice if visiting the property. Not only this, she is a genuinely caring and lovely person, she loves to chat and is very generous with welcome gifts, Christmas treats and nice homeware top ups to make the place feel homely!
A wonderful home and I'm very sad to leave it.

I was at Sackville for 3 and a half years and I really enjoyed my time there. The location of the house is very handy and sharing with three others helped me quickly build a social circle in a new city. Julie is a fantastic landlord - so quick to help when anything goes wrong and she also listened to us when finding new tenants, so that the social atmosphere in the house was always there. I would definitely recommend Sackville for anyone new to the city or looking for a friendly Home in a central location! Best wishes.
EVE
Sackville was perfect for me, I moved to Reading not knowing a single person and left with frineds for life and some great memories. Sackville was not only a shared property but felt like home with lovely sociable living spaces (my favourite was the outside patio - perfect for relaxing on summer evenings after work). It is also in a great central Reading location and a stones throw from the Station - perfect for a young professional. I lived there until August 2017 when I left due to a career change.

Julie is a fantastic live outlandlord who is very friendly and easy to get in touch with. If you're looking for somewhere to live in Reading I would highly recommend getting in touch.
LEWIS
I moved into Pascal Crescent from Wales without knowing anybody in Reading. I stayed in Pascal Crescent for 14 months only because my career took me on-to London. The house we shared was incredibly social and we frequently spent time together in the communal areas and even going out together on weekends. For me both the location and the house itself was perfect, as I worked outside of Reading; it was handy being a stones-throw from the M4. Also, as a motorbike fanatic, it was great having a safe garage to stow it, free from worry of theft. While the house can appear on the edge of Reading, the bus routes make it a very short and easy trip into the center of Reading which I did almost every weekend. Julie is a lovely landlord and person, she’s always been very social and easy to approach and always quick to respond. I would highly recommend Pascal Crescent to be your new home.
All the best :-)
RUTH
I lived a Pascal crescent number(ii) in the almost self contained room on the ground floor for nearly two years. The room was lovely and big and had a lot of storage, with a beautiful view of the garden. When I moved to Reading from Ireland, I didn't know anyone, and that's why living in Pascal Crescent appealed to me. Most house shares in the UK seem to have no sitting room for the housemates to socialise in, while Pascal has a whole floor dedicated to this. My housemate were lovely who became friends and never once since my move to Reading have I ever felt lonely...there was always someone to talk to! Julie is a great landlord and really puts the effort in to get the right fit of housemate for the house, and when one of the housemates moved out a couple of months ago, she found us the perfect fit that worked well with our house. I can't recommend renting with Julie enough. It really is a home away from home !
RACHEL
I lived in one of Julie's house shares in Reading for 2.5 years and I was very sad to leave due to relocation for a new job. It was a house I really could call home. Julie is a fantastic landlady, the house was furnished immaculately, she consistently keeps on top of maintenance and any maintenance issues she resolves immediately. Julie is mindful of the current tenants in the house and ensures any new tenants coming into the home are a suitable fit with the other housemates. The housemates I shared with became great friends who I will be staying in close touch with. I highly recommend Julie's house shares!
